At ApplyBoost, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Info: Name, email address, authentication data (via NextAuth)
• Resume Data: Text content from resumes you upload or paste
• Job Tracker Info: Job titles, companies, application statuses, and notes
• Payment Data: Managed by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.
• Analytics: We use PostHog for anonymized usage tracking

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide resume analysis feedback using OpenAI’s API
• To enable resume rewriting and job tracking functionality
• To store and organize your saved feedback and job history
• To send necessary account, billing, and support notifications
• To improve the platform based on anonymized analytics

3. AI Data Processing

Your resume content may be processed by OpenAI to generate feedback and rewrite suggestions. We remove identifying information before transmission. OpenAI does not store data sent via API in accordance with their data usage policy.

4. Data Portability & Deletion

You can request a full export or deletion of your data (including resumes, feedback, and job applications) at any time by emailing privacy@applyboost.io.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited information with:

• Stripe: for secure billing and payment processing
• OpenAI: for generating resume feedback and rewrite suggestions
• PostHog: for privacy-conscious product analytics

6. Children's Privacy

ApplyBoost is not intended for children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

7. Security

We use encryption, HTTPS, and role-based access controls to protect your data. While no service is 100% secure, we continuously monitor and improve our systems.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect platform improvements or legal changes. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app alerts.
